MEET 2024 NATIONAL CHAMPION BROOKE

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals proudly introduces its newest cohort of National Champions, a group of extraordinary ambassadors dedicated to raising awareness about the critical need for charitable donations to support pediatric healthcare. These inspirational children and their families hail from diverse backgrounds and represent various member hospitals across the U.S. Each Champion’s unique journey exemplifies the profound impact of donations on their lives, underscoring the urgent need to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Meet Brooke:

Starting in sixth grade, Brooke’s mom began to notice small signs that her daughter was struggling, starting with small scratches on her arm. It culminated in eighth grade when she realized something was very wrong, Brooke was having suicidal ideation and attempted to take her own life more than once. Feeling lost and unsure where to turn, Brooke’s mom decided Shodair Children’s Hospital, which specializes in psychiatric care for children and adolescents, was their best answer. The treatment team at Shodair gave Brooke support, offering safety, hope, and the therapy Brooke and the entire family desperately needed. Today, Brooke is a senior in high school at the top of her class, has a job, and is looking to the future with plans to attend the University of Montana. Brooke’s goal is to help as many kids as she can, she doesn’t want anyone to suffer alone and let them know there is always hope. One of Brooke’s favorite sayings is “This too shall pass.” Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals helps Shodair cover uncompensated medical care for their patients like Brooke.
